He was also named the best fleet manager by NAFA in a separate contest. This is unprecedented in the 60-year NAFA history and the 100 Best contest legacy. Not only that\, another of the top three fleet managers identified by NAFA is also speaking! \nWe also have the fleet professional that was paid by a municipality $400\,000 for solutions to their challenges. This same man will be offering you solutions to your biggest challenges. \nAlso the Chief Judge of the Green Fleet Awards contest will be giving us valuable insights from the best sustainable fleets. \nThis gathering of speakers is a one-time-only forum that you can’t afford to miss. \nJoin either of these two round-table\, interactive\, relevant meetings; with managers of outstanding fleets in the East. These are hands-on\, real-world problem-solving sessions guided by the needs and interests of your fellow fleet professionals. \nWe only learn from the best…what is working for them and why! \nMajor topics we will discuss include: \n\nFunding. There will be an update on the Volkswagen payout of $4.7 billion dollars for public fleets. This is your money but you need to apply for it. Plus learn about other new alternative ways of funding replacements.\nFive emerging technologies and trends. They are changing the industry. (There are only two ways to do more with less; technology is one of them.)\nTechnician shortage. We will discuss positive solutions for the technician shortage.\nCase studies of shared services. They are saving millions of dollars for cities and counties.\n#1 Bestselling business book. Find out why it has been doing so well for the past 10 years. SUMMARY:Exploring Climate Solutions: CT 2018 Comprehensive Energy Strategy
DESCRIPTION:In our upcoming March 1st lunchtime webinar\, join us to explore Connecticut’s recently released 2018 Comprehensive Energy Strategy (CES). By statute\, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is required to periodically update the CES for all energy needs in the state\, including\, but not limited to\, electricity\, heating\, cooling\, and transportation. The 2018 CES recommends policies that support the state’s broader environmental policies to meet clean air\, clean water\, land conservation and development\, and waste reduction goals\, including reducing GHG emissions 10 percent below 1990 levels by 2020 and 80 percent below 2001 levels by 2050. More specifically the finalized 2018 CES recommends eight key strategies to guide administrative and legislative action over the next several years. These include:\n• Ensure sustainable and equitable funding for efficiency\n• Advance market transformation of the energy efficiency industry\n• Grow and sustain renewable and zero-carbon generation in the state and region\n• Expand deployment of all cost-effective distributed generation (“behind the meter”) in a sustainable manner\n• Continue to improve grid reliability and resiliency through state and regional efforts\n• Reduce transportation greenhouse gas emissions by accelerating the adoption of low and zero emission vehicles and strengthening alternative-fueling infrastructure\n• Increase mobility\, connectivity and accessibility by advancing smart-growth\, mixed-use transit-oriented development\, and innovative transportation partnerships\n• Modernize the grid \nPlease join us to learn more by registering here. After registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

SUMMARY:Conference on Electric Roads & Vehicles 2018
DESCRIPTION:CERV focuses on new approaches to transportation that integrate energy\, vehicle\, communication\, and highway infrastructures into a more flexible\, efficient\, and convenient network of electric roads and vehicles. \nElectricity has a unique ability to transform travel but will likely need to extend beyond charging batteries in parked vehicles using manual plug-in systems. CERV provides a venue to explore technologies that deliver energy in an automated fashion either wirelessly or through other novel conductive approaches\, on demand\, in real time\, and to both stationary and moving vehicles. \nUnlike today’s transportation system\, which is fueled almost exclusively by oil\, a transportation system based on electric roads and vehicles will: \n\nEliminate the range anxiety associated with electric vehicles\,\nEnable robust competition among several primary energy sources\,\nReduce vehicle energy consumption\, and\nEliminate mobile-source emissions.\n\nCERV provides scientists\, engineers\, managers\, policy-makers\, investors and other interested private sector stakeholders with a forum where they can present\, discuss\, and learn about new power transfer technologies and their applicability to the vehicle transportation industry.
